Our Lay Dominican fraternity is part of the Central Province family, united in prayer, study, community, and apostolic mission. We are dedicated to living out the Dominican charism in our daily lives as lay men and women of faith. Further information about our fraternity’s location, members, and ministries will be added soon.
Thank you for your patience and prayers as we continue to build this page—please check back for updates!
Our fraternity embraces a rich history rooted in tradition and faith. Together, we embody a spirit of unity and shared purpose. As Lay Dominicans, we celebrate our connection to the Dominican Order and our location in the heart of northeast Kansas.
How we exemplify the 4 Pillars of Dominican Life…
Prayer: We commit to daily praying the Liturgy of the Hours (morning and evening prayer), as well as the Dominican Rosary.
Study: We regularly engage in individual and group study of topics relevant to the 4 Pillars, and to our growth in sanctity as directed by the Church and our Order. Some examples include:
Community: In addition to prayer and study, we provide support for each other on the path to sainthood.
Service: For Lay Dominicans, preaching can take the form of witnessing, teaching and providing spiritual and corporal works of mercy individually and as a group.
