The Blessed Sacrament Fraternity of Lay Dominicans in Madison, Wisconsin, has been part of the Dominican family since 1939, founded with the approval of the Archbishop of Milwaukee and the Prior Provincial. Established with the guidance of the Dominican Friars at Blessed Sacrament Parish, the fraternity continues a legacy of living and sharing the Gospel through the Dominican pillars of Prayer, Study, Community, and Mission.

When the Diocese of Madison was formed in 1946, with Bishop William P. O’Connor as its first bishop, our fraternity became part of this new diocesan family. Today, under the leadership of Bishop Donald Hying, we remain active and faithful to our mission. Though the parish is now staffed by a different religious order (2024), the fraternity continues to serve as a living witness to Dominican spirituality in the heart of the diocese.
