Our Lay Dominican fraternity is part of the Central Province family, united in prayer, study, community, and apostolic mission. We are dedicated to living out the Dominican charism in our daily lives as lay men and women of faith. Further information about our fraternity’s location, members, and ministries will be added soon.
Thank you for your patience and prayers as we continue to build this page—please check back for updates!
The Queen of the Rosary Fraternity in Milwaukee, WI is the only Lay Dominican fraternity in SE Wisconsin, with members residing from Green Bay in the north to Racine in the south.
"Being a Dominican is not something in addition to being a Christian, it is a way of being a Christian," Archbishop Joseph Augustine Di Noia, OP.
Past Provincial President Joe Komadina wrote, "The knowledge that comes through our intellectual efforts is in constant interaction with the knowledge that comes through our experience of God in creation as well as our regular participation in the liturgical and sacramental life of the Church. As these become more and more part of who we are, we become more confident in sharing both who and what we are with others. Being a Lay Dominican is a focused way of life for the Lay Catholic who is willing to commit to regular growth in prayer, regular contact with like-minded people, regular study of all aspects of Church teaching, and regular sharing of the Good News through word and deed."

We support Amigos for Christ, a non-profit organization that facilitates leadership, water, health, education, and economic development in rural Nicaraguan communities.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Meetings
Our monthly meetings are third Saturday mornings, beginning with 8 a.m. Mass with the Dominican Sisters of the Perpetual Rosary at whose religious house we meet in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Afterward, we have refreshments and share how God has been working in our lives since we last met. Morning Prayer of the day precedes a group book study facilitated by a member on a rotating basis. A brief business meeting rounds out the morning, before we conclude with the Central Province Prayer for Vocations. Our meetings are in person, except for January and February, when due to winter conditions we meet virtually.
